Vortex is a Descent3 only game browser. Will report who's in a game, ping, scores and other info. Created specifically for Descent3, it includes a level/mod auto-download feature. If you don't have a level or mod, an option to download it will appear.
- KQuery finds Descent 3 games (and other games, too) and reports a variety of info such as ping, players in game, scores, etc.
- Suncho's KQuery Tut. Installing and using KQuery is pretty easy, but you may find this tut useful anyway.
- Pumo Software in spanish or english, is the home of Pumo Mines and other Descent levels by Pumo, as well as his original music and artwork, and more!
- Descent Archives. An excellent collection of all things Descent... 1, 2 and 3!
- Descent 3 Stats
Cool! See your D3 stats here... sorted by score, efficiency, or any of a number of other filters. Type your pilot name in the box and hit seach... Now, did that new joystick really improve my score, or is it my imagination? ;) Find out here! When you find your name then click on it to get many details.
- Descent 3 Help. "Welcome to Descent 3 Help. Built just for you - the online Descent 3 Pilot. Although this work is predominantly for new on-line players and those with high ping times, players with some experience may also learn a thing or two." Some valuable info here, a must read!
- The Adrenaline Vault Descent 3 Strategy Guide. Info about the bots, weapons, walk-throughs of Retribution, multiplayer tips, etc... its all here! Err... actually, it seems the Adrenaline vault has undergone a renovation... and the Descent Guides have been tossed. But you can still see them here:Descent 3 Strategy Guides on the Internet Wayback Machine! Oh, and another thing... these guides must have been supplied by Outrage before the game was released. There are at least a few features mentioned that were never implemented in the game. Most conspicuous is the info about how to defeat the Hellion, the final boss in level fifteen. Still, a fun read!
- KoolBear's Descent
Links to a lot of useful and/or fun thing: levels, textures, old sites, etc.
- Descent Network
Lots of goodies here, despite the fact that it appears not to have been updated in a long time.
- Chicago D3 Lan. A LAN that took place in 2004.
- The Origami Pyro. Wow! An Origami Pyro... Complete with detailed instructions! Thanks Drakona, I would not have, in a million years, imagined such a thing!
- Moon's Descendarium returns from the edge of the grave... Loads of great singleplayer material here, including walk-throughs, demo files, screenshots... It's really great to see this site back up. Long Live Descent!
- Scorch's Den is another long forgotten site... Levels for Descent 1, 2 and 3, windows icons, tutorials, more.
- DCentral. And yet another old site, this one hanging in limbo since 1999. Some D1 & 2 level reviews and a few other misc.
- XCoPMaNX's Descent 3 Homepage. Check out the weapons and robot pages. Some interesting Descent 3 pre-release screenshots.
- Sick Ones Asylum, last updated 2000, has some levels, looks like D1 & 2. There is also some good technical info about joysticks.
- 3D Gamers::Game Listing::Descent 3.
An alternate source for downloading demos, patches, etc. Lists system requirement.

"The Open Descent Foundation (ODF) is a community for developers, who want to help to create open source programmes, tools, etc. for the famous games Descent1, -2 or -3. Everyone can join the ODF if he accepts the idea of writing open source programmes." Sounds like a great idea to me!
